Since 1921, Italian company Alessi has been known for its innovative and creative designs. It attracts some of the world’s foremost architects and designers to create its distinctive range of products for the home.

The Melodic Tea Strainer comes in the form of a bird in a birdcage. Made from stainless steel and PMMA it was inspired by the social tradition, deeply rooted in Chinese history, with bird-fanciers taking their pet birds in exquisite birdcages to tea as a past-time.

The whole object, highly crafted, is an art display in itself, but the stainless steel bird strainer can also be taken out from the cage to use when pouring your tea. At all other times, the sweet bird can be rested in its cage!
