A family-run vineyard established in 1810, Domaines Schlumberger represents a traditional and artisanal approach to wine making that has made the wines of Alsace so respected and sought-after. Producing wine only with fruit harvested from their estate so as to retain the character of the terroir in their wines, Domaines Schlumberger only produce a limited number of cases a year. In such high esteem do they hold the Grands Crus title, that they will not produce a vintage if they believe the harvest to be below their exacting standards!
Made from hand-picked fruit, the 2006/07 Kessler Pinot Gris is golden yellow in colour, with light green reflections of a beautiful intensity. The pleasant, expressive and distinguished nose shows a dominant of candied, fruity, complex scents, quince, apple, hop, white flesh fruits. Airing reveals a delicate smoky note, milk butter, praline.
